Privacy Policy

Skillshelf is a digital product marketplace operated from the Federal Republic of Nigeria. We sell downloadable guides and ebooks to Nigerian students and entrepreneurs. Our contact email is support@skillshelf.online.

When you purchase or interact with Skillshelf, we may collect:

• Identity data: your full name and email address provided at checkout.
• Payment data: transaction references and payment status. We do not store card numbers — all card data is handled exclusively by Paystack.
• Order data: products purchased, amounts paid, and download activity (timestamps, link usage).
• Usage data: pages visited, browser type, and referral source via cookies and server logs.

We use your data solely for the following purposes:

• Order fulfilment: processing your payment and delivering your download link via email.
• Customer support: responding to queries about your purchase.
• Email communications: sending your receipt, download link, and (with your consent) updates about new products.
• Product improvement: understanding which guides are most useful to our customers.

All payments on Skillshelf are processed by Paystack, a PCI-DSS compliant payment processor regulated in Nigeria. When you complete a purchase, you are subject to Paystack's own privacy policy in addition to ours. Skillshelf receives only a transaction reference and payment status — never your raw card details.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to any third party for marketing purposes. We may share data only in the following limited circumstances:

• With Paystack to process your payment.
• With email service providers to deliver your download link and receipts.
• If required to do so by Nigerian law or a valid court order.

After a purchase, you will receive a transactional email containing your download link. We may also send you occasional product updates and new releases. You can opt out of marketing emails at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email, or by emailing us at support@skillshelf.online. Transactional emails (receipts, download links) cannot be opted out of as they are necessary to deliver your purchase.

Download links are generated per order and are unique to your purchase. Links expire after 48 hours from the time of purchase. After expiry, contact us to request a fresh link. We log download activity (IP address, timestamp) for security and fraud prevention.

We retain order records for a minimum of 6 years to comply with Nigerian tax and financial regulations. You may request deletion of your personal data at any time; however, we are required to retain transactional records for the period above.

You have the right to:

• Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your data (subject to retention obligations).
• Withdraw consent to marketing communications at any time.

To exercise any of these rights, email support@skillshelf.online. We will respond within 14 business days.

This Privacy Policy is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, including the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR). Any disputes arising from this policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Nigerian courts.

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email to customers with active accounts. Continued use of Skillshelf after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent revision.
